How often do you discuss your opportunity with prospective buyers? According to The National Sales Executive Association, the average sale is closed as follows:

  • 2% on 1st contact
  • 3% on 2nd contact
  • 5% on 3rd contact
  • 10% on 4th contact
  • 80% on 5th through 12th contact

So be prepared to discuss things multiple times with people before they actually buy from you.

Be more intimate with people you know. Use information about their likes or hobbies to get them interested.
You can use this technique with people you can gather information on as well. You can perhaps check out their Facebook profile to some information on them.
Either way, don’t give up on prospects after the first attempt to sell to them. You will be limiting your chances of success drastically!
