Do you keep yourself in proper balance at all times?
To maintain a balanced life, we need to ensure we are paying the proper attention to 4 key areas:
- physical: health, energy, self image
- mental: career, finances, education
- spiritual: church, meditation, nature
- emotional: family, friends, community
Think of yourself as a balance, but instead of the typical 2 armed variety, you have 4 arms. You have one out to each side, one in front and one in back.
Your objective is to keep yourself perfectly upright by keeping all four arms weighted evenly.
If you spend too much, or too little, time on any one of the areas, you will start to lean. If you don’t work on fixing this imbalance, it will keep getting worse until you eventually fall over!
Keep this in mind as you go through your day. If you start to feel out of balance, determine what is needed to straighten yourself out and get yourself back on an even keel.
