We should all strive to learn something new every day.
Sometimes our attitude keeps us from learning new things. A quote I heard from Eric Hoffer sums it up this way:
To learn you need a certain degree of confidence, not too much and not too little.
If you have too little confidence, you will think you can’t learn.
If you have too much, you will think you don’t have to learn.
So keep an open mind and listen to what others have to say. Don’t have the attitude that “I already know that” when people start to talk.
Sometimes it’s just a little shift in the way someone approaches something that could make a big difference. If you don’t remain open and listen, you could miss out on a great opportunity to improve.
